PrintDirect US DTF Printer – Limited Warranty

Coverage Period:
This limited, non-transferable warranty covers DTF printers, products, and accessories sold in the USA by PrintDirect US. For any units purchased or located outside of the United States, a separate international one-year warranty may apply. PrintDirect US guarantees that covered products will be free from defects in material or workmanship during the applicable warranty period outlined below. At its discretion, PrintDirect US will repair or replace any product found defective during the warranty period. Warranty services must be performed or authorized by an Authorized PrintDirect US Representative.

The warranty covers parts and depot repair only, and does not include shipping costs associated with depot repair services.

Damage Reporting:
All damages must be reported to PrintDirect US within 3 business days of delivery. Failure to report may result in denial of coverage. All visible damage must also be documented on the Bill of Lading at the time of delivery. All DTF Printer Sales are final.


Warranty Scope:

Non-Consumable Parts and Technical Labor: Covered for 1 year from delivery.


Customer Responsibilities:

  • All defective parts under warranty must be returned within 30 days to receive credit.
  • Customer must complete troubleshooting with PrintDirect US before a technician is dispatched.
  • Daily and periodic maintenance—including cleaning the printhead, lubrication, and consumable replacement—is the customer's responsibility.
  • After the first 90 days, the customer covers all travel costs for technicians and, after one year, any labor costs.
  • All replacement parts must be purchased from PrintDirect US or authorized dealers. Use of unauthorized parts will void the warranty.
  • Unauthorized modifications will void the warranty unless approved in writing by PrintDirect US.
  • Technical labor claims must be made within 7 days of service if the same issue reoccurs.

Training & Maintenance Requirements (Mandatory):

  • Turning on the machine before formal training will void the warranty.
  • Training is provided at no additional cost and is required to maintain warranty coverage.
  • A daily nozzle check must be performed to detect potential clogging. Skipping this step voids the warranty.
  • The printer must be properly shut down using the official procedure, which includes:
    • Draining the ink tanks
    • Flushing white ink lines
    • Installing storage fluid and capping heads
    • Completing the process under guidance from a certified technician

Failure to follow this shutdown procedure during periods of inactivity will void the warranty.


Environmental Requirements:

  • Maintain humidity above 45% RH; low humidity may result in clogs and head damage.
  • Operate the machine in a temperature range of 59°F–90°F.
  • Use a non-condensing humidifier if necessary.

General Maintenance Requirements:

  • Refill ink immediately upon low-ink warning to prevent air in ink lines.
  • Failure to perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance will result in clogs and void warranty.
  • If an error code appears, it must be reported within 72 hours and the machine properly capped to prevent further damage.

Consumable Items (Not Covered):

  • Inks, dampers, wipers, transfer film/powder, cleaning/storage fluids, encoder strips, wetcap stations, and other expendable items.

Items Not Covered Under Warranty:

  • Acts of God
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Non-approved accessories or consumables
  • Failure to follow maintenance and operational guidelines
  • Poor-quality artwork or improper RIP files
  • Electrical issues from lack of surge protection
  • Equipment used without proper training
  • General wear and tear
  • Damage due to neglect, improper environment, or improper shutdown
  • Downtime-related compensation (e.g., lost income or materials)
  • Repacking of machine if machine is replaced under warranty!
  • Third-party networking, computer, or software issues
  • Expedited shipping (only ground shipping is covered)
  • Additional training services
  • Items not returned within stated warranty timeframe

Liability and Legal Disclaimers:

This limited warranty is void if the printer is altered or tampered with, or if the serial number is removed. It does not apply to bundled or third-party software.

PrintDirect US’s liability is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of the defective product or parts. IN NO EVENT SHALL PRINTDIRECT US BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT. Any legal claims must be filed in the court system of Florida.

ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE DISCLAIMED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Any implied warranties not disclaimed are limited to the duration of this warranty.

Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Policy:

For product returns under warranty, PrintDirect US will provide a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Number. If a PrintDirect US Representative determines that an RMA is required for your product, please follow the standard procedure to process the RMA.
